(NEXSTAR) – The legendary John Madden, known for his time as an NFL coach and broadcaster, has passed away.
The NFL announced Madden’s death, stating that an 85-year-old boy died suddenly on Tuesday morning.

The Hall of Fame’s death will take place just days after the 90-minute documentary “All Madden,” which explores his career and sporting implications, premiered at Fox on Saturday.

The “All Madden” documentary features an extensive interview with 85-year-old Madden, including wife Virginia and sons Joe and Mike. The 38 interviewees also include Lawrence Taylor, Brett Favre, Troy Aikman, Bill Parcells, Bill Belichick, and Goodell.
In addition to the interview, the documentary features an outtake between a video of Madden going to the game on his bus and a production meeting. It also includes Madden, who hosted “Saturday Night Live” in 1982, and his various commercials over the years.
