From Rushville, Indiana-Early Tuesday, two police officers shot and killed a suspect while investigating a man being shot dead at the front door outside a convenience store in eastern Indiana.
Indianapolis Police Department said the homeowner woke up around 11:30 pm on Monday when he knocked on the front door of his home in the town of Henry County, Kennard. When the man opened the door, he was fatally shot by a “male subject” who escaped from the scene.
Rushville police officers found a car that matched the suspect’s car earlier on Tuesday after investigators developed the suspect in the shooting and advised surrounding police agencies. Police then said it continued from northern Rush County to a convenience store in Rushville, about 20 miles (32.3 km) south of Kenard.
According to police, the driver left the car, entered the store, and when he left the car, there were two Rushville police officers hiding outside the order yelled at by the suspect.
Police said the suspect did not obey, picked up the holster, pulled a pistol, and beat the suspect at the policeman who fired the weapon.
The suspect was declared dead on the scene.
Police have not released information about the suspect, including his age, but said the suspect is believed to be “related” to the previous killing of the homeowner in Kenard. rice field.
