Oakland County, Michigan (Wand)-Authorities said a fourth teenager died after a shooting at Oxford High School in Michigan.
According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, 17-year-old Justin Schilling died at McLaren Oakland Hospital in Pontiac around 10:45 am Wednesday. The other three students killed were 14-year-old Hana St. Juliana, 17-year-old Madisyn Baldwin, and 16-year-old Tate Myre.
NBC News Report The shooting that took place before 1 pm on Tuesday seriously injured seven others, including the teacher. According to sheriff Michael Bushar, the victim was taken to the hospital.
A 15-year-old student accused of shooting the victim was arrested after 12 shots, officials said. They added that he had been detained within five minutes of the agent’s response.
According to Illinois law, the suspect “exercised his right not to speak,” the agent said, and authorities cannot speak to the boy without parental permission. According to the sheriff, the parents “refused the permission.”
The 9mm Sigzauer pistol authorities, who said they were used for the shooting, were recovered. Investigators believe the suspect’s father bought it on Friday.
