Springfield, Illinois (WTVO) —The law proposed in Illinois will require unvaccinated people to pay a higher bill for treatment of COVID-19 symptoms.

Congressman Jonathan Carroll (D-Buffalo Grove) Submitted the bill on Monday This amends the Illinois Insurance Act, and those who choose not to receive the COVID-19 vaccine will have to pay their own medical costs when seeking treatment.

“If you choose not to get vaccinated, you also run the risk that you are responsible if you get COVID and get sick,” Carroll says. To Chicago Sun Times.

If adopted, the renewal will take effect on January 1, 2023.
