(WTAJ) — The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a recall of plant-based infant formula. After it turns out that the product does not meet the nutrition and labeling requirements previously advertised.

Tests conducted by the FDA have reportedly shown that the amount of iron, sodium, and potassium in the formulation is higher than the FDA allows. The product was also found to be free of vitamin D, which can cause rickets, also known as bone softening. The disease softens and weakens the bones of children due to a lack of vitamin D.
