New York (AP) —The rest of this week’s Late Night with Seth Meyers was discarded after the host tested positive for COVID-19.
Myers tweeted about his positive results on Tuesday, but thanked the vaccine and booster shots and said he felt good. He hosted the original broadcast on Monday.
NBC has canceled four shows scheduled for Tuesday-Friday. “Tun up next Monday and try out what a cool place as a studio!” Myers tweeted.
“Late Night with Seth Meyers” is the latest television show to tackle a new surge in pandemics. “Saturday Night Live” had to be scrambled last month to broadcast a new show sketched on tape, without a live viewer. TV presenter Jimmy Fallon also showed a positive COVID-19 result shortly before Christmas, despite being fully vaccinated.
Other recent positive stars include Hugh Jackman, Whoopi Goldberg, Debra Messing and LL Cool J.
