Kenbarrow, the former Houston Oilers receiver who was the last NFL player to wear the Houston-No. 00, died Thursday. He was 73 years old.
Barrow’s family announced their death, saying they had died at their home in Jacksonville, Florida.
Barrow was named tenth overall by New Orleans in 1970, but played only one season for the saints before being traded to the Oilers. He spent the next 11 seasons in Houston and was selected for the Pro Bowl in 1975 and 1977.
Barrow led the NFL in 1975, winning his career’s highest 1,063 yards. He accumulated 6,906 yards of receive and 47 touchdowns with the Oilers, helping them lead them during the Luv Ya Blue period when they reached the AFC Championship Game twice. The Oilers are now Tennessee Titans.
