Various reactions from locals and visitors as snow moves through the Chicago area

Chicago — Another snowfall is a bit annoying for many Chicago citizens. However, WGN News spoke on Thursday with several visitors who showed new appreciation for the windy city weather.

Arturo Pereira’s family walked State Street on Wednesday afternoon and saw the first snow from Mexico.

“This is quite different from what we are used to because we live on the beach,” Pereira said. “So we just walk around and enjoy the snow and the cold, but that’s completely different for us. So we love it very much.”

A light start is a picturesque change to some of the other snow events in the last few weeks.

“It’s really great compared to the other days so far,” said Savannah Boyak. “The other days are really windy and hard to see, but today is really nice snow.”

But another round of winter is less welcome to some.

“It’s annoying. It’s not that cold, but it’s annoying,” said Tracy Rothmeyer.

“This snow doesn’t seem to be that bad. If you can get out, get out, but be careful as the snow from Chicago grows over time,” said Jordan Martin. Told.

“It’s new to me. I like it, but you can see how it gets old,” Kamel Sadr said.

For those who have to drive in the snow, the car moved at a snail pace along the interstate highway during the rush hour on Wednesday evening.

Some people want the winter to end soon as the crew works to keep the roads and highways in the city clean.

“I’m ready for spring,” said one woman.

The weather spring isn’t until March 20th, so there’s more snow in Chicago.
