Osimhen scored as Naples leveled up with Milan

Victor Osimchen, Venice-Striker, Italy, has made his first start since November, when Naples beat 10 Venice 2-0 in the Italian league to score points in second-placed AC Milan.

Naples and Milan have separated Serie A leader Inter Milan by one point after Milan beat their rivals 2-1 on Saturday. Inter has a game.

23-year-old Osimhen, who was seriously injured in a head collision with Intel’s Milan Skriniar in November, headed for the opening goal in the 58th minute. This was Nigeria International’s sixth Serie A goal this season and tenth in all competitions. He returned to the team from an injury last month.

With a lively finish, defender Tyronne Ebuehi received a straight red card following a VAR review of Dries Mertens’ high tackle five minutes after the downtime.

Early in the game, Ebuehi and referee Maurizio Mariani needed treatment for both after a collision on the pitch.

Venice is 18th in the ranking.

Another team on the verge of relegation, Cagliari, won three important points after moving up to 17th place with a 2: 1 upset with 10 Atalantas. Atalanta remains in 4th place.

Gastón Pereiro scored both Cagliari goals in the 50th and 68th minutes in a match between COVID-19, suspension and injured teams.

Just two minutes after Pereiro’s first goal, Atalanta goalkeeper Juan Musso defeated Pereiro just outside the penalty area and was sent off due to a defensive failure.

The host was able to level through Jose Palomino’s header before Pereiro collected the perfect cross from Raul Bellanova in a distant post and stunned Atalanta second.

In Genova, Stefano Sensi scored Sampdoria on Sassuolo’s 4-0 route at the time of his debut after joining the team with a loan from Intel in January.

Francesco Caputo started scoring five minutes after the match against the previous club, and Sensi widened the lead two minutes later. Andrea Conti won 3-0 in the second half and Antonio Candreva scored a goal due to an injury from a penalty spot.

Bologna drew 0-0 at Empoli.

Juventus in 5th place will host Verona and Turin will play in Udinese later on Sunday.
