NEXSTAR, Louisiana — A Louisiana man who tried to kill a motel desk clerk and a motel guest showed no regrets during the trial and continued his rebellion during last week’s ruling.
Terry De Wayne Powell, also handcuffed and tied up in Mansfield, grinning at the victim’s family sitting in court before being sentenced to the murder of 75-year-old Linda Palmer in Mansfield. Reported to have kissed Reported by KTBS-TV..
However, state district judge Amy Burford McCartney had the last word and sentenced 20-year-old Powell to life imprisonment and 50 years in prison, the agency reported.

Officials say Powell killed Palmer after stealing cash while working at a night desk at Best Western Plus Desotoin & Suites in Mansfield. He also shot the motel guests and tried to rob him.
He was convicted of a second murder in Palmer’s deadly shooting, Reported KTAL, Attempt a second murder due to the injury of hotel guest Matthew Jaeger. He was also convicted of armed robbery and attempted an armed robbery.
