Father and mother charged with the death of their 4-year-old son in LaPorte County

LaPorte County, Indiana — Authorities said a LaPorte man was charged with murder for the death of his four-year-old son shortly after the boy’s death was sentenced to murder.

The prosecutor also charged the boy’s mother.

According to the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office, Alan D. Morgan, 28, and Mary E. Yoda each face a felony of negligence in their dependents.

In addition, both face charges of atrocities against animals.

Morgan was detained on Monday after a sheriff’s agent found Judam Morgan’s body at Union Township’s home in response to reports of an unresponsive child.

The father was charged with murder after an autopsy on Tuesday determined that the boy’s death was a murder. (Northwest Indiana) Times report. Authorities arrested Yoda in an investigation into Judas’ death. Congressman said Yoda had already been detained.
