Michigan Boat Company Jumps Ships and Moves Headquarters and Operations to Wisconsin

Genoa City, Wisconsin (WFRV) – Governor of Wisconsin Tony Evers has announced that Grand Craft Boats LLC will relocate its headquarters and production base from Holland, Michigan to Genoa City, Wisconsin.

Grand Craft Boats LLC is a manufacturer of bespoke mahogany watercraft, according to people familiar with the matter. The announcement of the move was made by Governor Evers with Missy Hughes, Secretary and CEO of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC).

“We are thrilled that Grand Craft has decided to move to Wisconsin. The company has joined the long list of outstanding craftsmanship and manufacturing in the state, ensuring the state economy and the southeastern Wisconsin community. It will be a powerful addition to Governor Evers, “said Governor Evers.

Grand Craft was acquired by Patrick and Rose Gallagher in February 2021. The company is reported to serve the luxury boat segment and lease 20,300 square feet of facilities to Genoa City. Grandcraft says it plans to hire 20 workers in Genoa City within three years.

WEDC says it is supporting the project by approving state income tax deductions of up to $ 125,000 over the next three years. The actual amount of tax credit depends on the number of jobs created and the capital invested in the project.

Genoa City is about 2 hours south of Oshkosh.
