Browns puts Pro Bowl Corner Ward on COVID-19 Reserve List | WGN Radio 720

Denzel Ward, the cornerback of the Browns Pro Bowl, is on the COVID-19 reserve list and will miss Sunday’s season finale with Cincinnati.

Ward is already suspicious of having suffered an inguinal injury in his defeat in Pittsburgh on Monday. In the fourth year corner, there were three intercepts, including a 99-yard return on the touchdown that tuned the 41-16 victory over Cleveland’s Bengals on November 17.

The Browns will end the disappointing season as Ward and linebacker Malcolm Smith are also not on the COVID-19 list.

Greedy Williams is likely to replace Ward in the starting lineup, but he is dealing with a shoulder injury and was described as suspicious in Friday’s injury report.

Browns has activated Running Back Darnest Johnson from the COVID-19 list. The timing is good as Nickchub (ribs / chest) and Kareem Hunt (ankles) are injured and may be sitting.
