According to police, six-year-old Damari Perry was found dead near an abandoned house on 700 blocks of Van Buren Street in Gary, and his death was sentenced to murder.

Damari was reported missing and was last seen at an apartment party in Skokie on Tuesday night. Damari and his 16-year-old sister were driven to the party by a woman known only as “Monique” and a man known as “Wakko” or “Chaos”.

Damari’s sister says she fell asleep after drinking a few drinks at the party. When she woke up about two hours later, Damari and “Wakko” were no longer in the apartment.

According to police, his sister was driven to North Chicago by “Monique.”

According to police, all juvenile families are currently under the control of DCFS.

No further information was provided. Charges are pending.
