Springfield, Illinois (WTVO) — A group of Republican lawmakers in Illinois are calling for changes at the Children’s and Family Services Department after Director Mark Smith was recently accused of contempt of court.
Smith is insulted as follows Report It showed that hundreds of children were in mental hospitals more than necessary because the organization had no other place to house them.
Republicans are demanding an immediate inquiry to find out why.
